The press release stated:“Canadians are deeply saddened by the devastating impact Typhoon Haiyan has had on the Philippine people,” said Minister Alexander. “Our government will continue to take action to support those impacted by the storm and we will work with our partners to ensure that urgent support is provided to those who are significantly affected by this tragic event.”
Applicants for visas can go through the Canadian Embassy in Manila as well as Visa Application Centres in Manila and Cebu. In order to qualify for this priority visa processing, applicants have to show that are “significantly and personally affected by the typhoon and wish to declare their cases a priority”.
