The Express Entry program will be launched in January of 2015. It will offer four different groups of economic based immigration classes the opportunity to expedite their application by placing them in a pool of candidates accessible to prospective employers.
Potential immigrants in the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class, and a portion of the Provincial Nominee Program will benefit from the Express Entry program as the Government of Canada’s Job Bank will help to facilitate matches between candidates and employers.
Express Entry will aid economic growth by ensuring workers with the skills Canada needs are priority rather than processing a queue of potential residents without distinction. Any job offers, however, will still be subject to Employment and Social Development Canada’s Labour Market Impact Assessment in place at the time.
