International Students May Get Permanent Residence in Nova Scotia

Hi. My name is Michael Niren, immigration lawyer, and founder of Visaplace.com. Good new coming out of Nova Scotia. The announcement is that international students will have the option of potentially applying for permanent residence after they graduate there.

International Students Seeking Permanent Residence in Nova Scotia

So if you’re on a student visa and you’re studying in Nova Scotia, and you graduate and you happen to have a job offer, there’s a potential possibility that you could apply for permanent residence to Canada.

Now, I don’t know all the details yet. I’m assuming they will be forthcoming by the government. Most likely you have to have a job offer within your field, within a certain period of time after graduation, and if you do, and you’ve graduated and you’re on a student visa, you could potentially be eligible for permanent residence.This is great news for Nova Scotia international students.
