Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry 2015

Hi this is Michael Niren, Immigration Lawyer and Founder of Visaplace.com. There is a new program, the Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry program, which essentially is a provincial nominee program that promises to process permanent resident applications within a six month period. Obviously, it’s sponsored by the province of Nova Scotia. There are certain criteria that are different from the skilled worker criteria to qualify. The program is set to launch at the end of January, 2015.

So this is an exciting development for individuals interested in immigrating to the province of Nova Scotia. So we will see how the program proceeds. I am hoping that we can assist a lot of people to immigrate to Nova Scotia through this program. So stay tuned for more details when they come out. There will likely be a cap, a certain amount of people that will be admitted in a given year. Once that cap is reached, no more applications will be processed. I don’t really know right now what that cap is. The government should be announcing that fairly soon. Once I find out, we will either do another video or blog about it to inform you.

How the Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry Program Will Work

So how it works essentially is applicants can apply through the express entry program or apply directly to the Nova Scotia Immigration Department. I don’t think there will be much of a difference.
