Hello, my name is Michael Niren. I’m an immigration lawyer and founder of
VisaPlace.com. An exciting announcement by Kanan immigration on November
22nd, they announced that the working with the Ontario government to
institute what we call a Bridge Training Program that will help license
skilled workers get licensed to participate in their professions in Canada.
Benefits of the Ontario Bridge Training Program?
It’s always been a real challenge for accountants and engineers and nurses,
et cetera, to get licensed in Ontario, even though they got their
immigration and they’re here and they’re working here. It is very hard for
them to get their licensing. There is going to be a new program that will
assist skilled workers for licensing so they can practice in their
professions in Ontario.
It’s a great, great development. We’re looking forward to seeing immigrants
come to Canada who are skilled workers and actually working in their
respective professions as opposed to working in other lower skilled
professions because they can’t get licensed.
