Original Content vs. News Feeds in Immigration Blogs and Twitter

What sets our Immigration Blog apart from the rest?

Many of you may have noticed that we don’t link to immigration news feeds. On occasion we link to immigration news stories published online but we never just “link and leave”.

Anyone can do that. Without naming names, we have observed a proliferation of blogs and twitter accounts simply linking to news stories about immigration. True there is a place for this. Our blogs are filled with current events about US and Canadian immigration that are also widely reported. However, we strive to provide original content for each and every blog we post. This means that you will not find the same immigration story, the same opinions anywhere else.

Our blogs on US and Canadian immigration law, news and real stories are from our and our readers perspective; not CNN, the Globe and Mail etc. Not that there is anything wrong with these sources–we rely on them often for breaking stories but that’s where it ends. We don’t simply provide you with a link to a news story and leave it at that. We give you our take, for better or worse. We may not get it right every time. Sometimes an immigration issue is misinterpreted but like the news itself, we are not immune to making mistakes.

Our readers we hope, appreciate the immigration content we provide and we will do our best to keep delivering the goods. News feeds have their place but when it comes to original content nothing compares. Happy Reading!
