The job offer that you have received for the United States must be formatted as a petition for a TN visa on your behalf, as well as in an occupation that is on the designated NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) list for the TN visa, which includes professional occupations that require a high level of education and often a university degree or higher.
The employee must be able to prove that they are qualified for the job they have been offered through their credentials and resume, as well as references and other information.
The TN visa is a temporary visa, which means that applicants must be able to show they have strong ties to Canada and will return there when they are finished working in the United States. TN visas are generally good for about three years.
