If you are married to an American, there’s a possibility that the American spouse can sponsor you or petition for you for immigration, and there’s a number of processes that could work for you. There’s what we call the consular process where an application is sent through the Canadian Consulate. If you live on the East Coast, it’s through Montreal, or there’s the in-United States or justice status process where you are already in the United States, and an application can be made through a service center in the United States.
