Start-Up Visa For Entrepreneurs

As of April 1 2013 Canada is now accepting applications from the brightest entrepreneurs from all over the world! This Business Visas program is great and will add to the multiculturalism that already exists within Canada.

Understanding the Start-Up Visa

The Start-Up visa program will allow entrepreneurs from abroad to bring their brightest ideas and inventions to Canada.

Will This Program Be Around For Good?

Please note that this program will only run for 5 years and applications will be limited. The Canadian government has allotted 2750 visas per year for start-up entrepreneurs and their families. If the demand for this program is high enough and is successful the Canadian government will make this permanent.  More to follow.  We will keep you posted.

Am I Eligible?

You must demonstrate intermediate knowledge in both English and French

You must have completed at least one year of Post-Secondary Education

Receive a minimum funding commitment of $200,000 CDN from a designated Venture Capital Organization

Or

$75,000 from an approved Angel Investor.

This is a great opportunity for both entrepreneurs and our country, by bringing in fresh, new and innovative companies along with the brightest minds we will be opening the doors to thousands of jobs all over Canada.
